Fatemeh-Shirin Asgari

Fatemeh-Shirin Asgari, MSc is an expert in artificial intelligence, innovation, and strategic digitalization in the infrastructure sector. She worked for many years in strategic procurement of IT and services at ÖBB before deepening her bridge-building between technology and strategy with a second master's degree in computer science and her research on generative AI. Today, she leads AI innovation projects at ÖBB Infrastructure that make rail operations more efficient, safer, and more sustainable. Shirin is involved as a community manager at AI Austria, where she promotes knowledge transfer and collaboration within the Austrian AI ecosystem. As an ambassador for WOMENinICT and an active member of Women in AI Austria, she is committed to diversity, visibility, and the empowerment of women in technology.
